AUDACITY - is a free, downloadable application that allows users to record and/or edit music, voice narration or other sound files for multimedia projects such as podcasts, Animoto videos, Glogster posters, Voki avatars or digital stories.
Audacity can be used by teachers and students to express their creativity, knowledge, ideas and skills in the classroom.

Integration
Audacity in the classroom:
- Student presentations of a topic they have researched
- Create an audio advertisement for a product, ie. create and record jingles
- Recording a voice track to use with Voki avatar
- Record book reports or book reviews for podcasts or to embed in wikis, blogs, Glogsters, etc.
- Extract legal 30 second music clip for use in a presentation
